This reservation-only restaurant is devoted to Kyoto-style tofu kaiseki, a cuisine born from the city’s famously pure water. Dishes arrive in quiet layers—silky tofu, subtle broths, seasonal accents—showing how something simple can feel deeply refined. The setting does half the work: pine greens, a murmuring stream outside the windows, and scenery that changes with every season. Inside, calligraphy by owner and renowned artist Fuyo Kobayashi adds an extra note of calm. Come for an unhurried, very Kyoto meal.
